Thundersnow?!

Our area is forecasted to experience thundersnow, according to the latest Winter Snow Warning.  The advisory says we are supposed to experience 10-20" of snow within the next day- this Floridian can't even imagine such a thing!  This is all well and good except... this family of three is booked to fly to our Florida Christmas vacation tomorrow! 

Oh thundersnow thundersnow thundersnow, go away, come again another day.  Little Ethan wants to play, thundersnow thundersnow go away!

Isn't this how you imagined Chris would spend his month away from work taking care of Ethan (check it out at the 2:15 time mark!)?  While, I knew they would have incredible father/son bonding as I returned to work, and that our son was in the best of hands, I giggled imagining this was what my boys were doing.

I didn't fully anticipate how Chris would spend his leave instead!  Instead of Playstation and baby lifts, I'm coming home every night to an amazing home cooked meal, the house undergoing careful babyproofing, and long to-do lists (that he writes- I'm not that kind of wife!) all completed.  All the while, Ethan plays with this dad and joins him around the house. 

Best of all, our son looks like he grows a few ounces and a few smiles happier every day! 
 

His third wardrobe option was no wardrobe at all!

Our favorite pictures of Ethan from our recent fun at the mall were of him crawling out of the bathtub.  These are going to make perfect blackmail photos if he ever decides to be late for curfew!  You can see the real blackmail photos here.

• Below the photos is a video tool bar.  Most of the time, you'll see YouTube videos from our family, which you can watch by double clicking the video you are interested in.  Sometimes you'll see promotional videos listed for companies, such as new auto ads.  Unfortunately, those rotate in and out every once in a while.
• Below that, if you have a Gmail account, you can become a "follower" and receive an email anytime there's a new post on Life in Gear.
• Underneath every post is the option to comment and to "subscribe to posts" via a live feed our your favorite live reader.

Yes, we made him wear a Christmas sweater!

We did our first mall family photo session this past week to get our picture for our Christmas cards.  It ended up being a lot of fun and included 3 wardrobe changes (for Ethan of course!  Well... really two.  One was the cheesy Christmas sweater, which of course his parents declined to wear, a Santa suit, and the third, naked bum shots (again, Ethan only)!   You can see the holiday pics here.
